Move over café latte.
With Summer around the corner in South Africa, I am experimenting with new coffees. This iced chocolate swirl latte is an actual thing of beauty. I love adding something simple to a recipe and every time it ends up blowing my mind. This coffee is sweet and chilled, just as an iced coffee should be. This recipe is really simple and the added chocolate is such a bonus. I have made this recipe to be perfect for one. However, if you would like to make it for a few people, just double the recipe below. I really hope you love this drink! I think this Iced Chocolate Swirl Latte is perfect for the warmer days!

Here are a few tips to making the perfect iced chocolate swirl latte
- You can use any chocolate you want for this iced chocolate swirl latte. I love dark chocolate so naturally I gravitated towards that and I find that it added a nice bitterness to the coffee as well.
- This recipe doesn’t have any sugar added to it, however, you can add maple syrup, sugar or honey if you wish.
- This coffee can be made without the ice, if you are craving a warmer drink. So you can definitely opt out of having ice in the coffee and just have it as is.
- For the purposes of this video I added the chocolate at the end but because there is ice, it will solidify. I suggest that you use warmed milk and coffee when adding it to the glass. After which, stir the iced and chocolate together to make chocolate does not stick to the base of the glass.
- If you find that the ice solidifies at the base of the glass, try warming it up in the microwave, alternatively, make sure your milk is nice and warm.

2 shots of espresso
3/4 cup milk, warmed
